This is the Jimmy Griswold Band doing a gig at Joli Mons in Dunedin Florida. He’s usually 3-piece but Rick Honeyboy Hart is sitting in on this one on the left guitar.
This is one of my favorite types of shuffles. This is sometimes called an “uptown-downtown” shuffle based on the line the bass is playing. And the fact that this rhythm section is one of the best in Tampa Bay makes it smoke. That’s Tommy Bell on drums and Steve Vitale on bass. This is Jimmy’s “A” band and it’s always a treat to see him playing with some of the best players in the area.

There are @NOMII761 There are some subtle dnereffices between different SG models but having or not having a pick guard doesn’t really make any difference this was a stripped down model and so they cut out the pickguard to save a few bucks per guitar in materials and the time it takes to install it I guess other more enlightening answers welcome that’s my best guess.
